# Strawberry Shortcake Sauce

## Ingredients

- 2 quarts strawberries
- ½ cup white sugar

## Directions

Cut strawberries. Sprinkle with sugar. Mix well. Let stand 1 hour. Serve over
shortcake, with whipped cream if desired.
